why do I have to keep entering the key in Start11?

Why do I have to keep entering the key?

Why isn't this information being stored/kept within the program?

Is there a fix for this?

It's getting all over my last nerve. I shouldn't have to do this every day.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please review this guide : https://forums.stardock.com/486311/accounts-and-activation-support-faq#keepsaskingactivation. In your case "PRODUCTNAME" is Start11.

Thanks

As I mentioned above "PRODUCTNAME", for you, is "Start11", so delete off folder named "Start11" and reactivate again.

Thank you,

What I noticed was a you are activating on two PCs but using the same key, deactivating it each time you run into the limit (1).

That said, you do own 2 keys, one for each PC.  Make sure you are using the other key for the other PC:

I am not using the same key on both computers
End of kwagraphics's quote

On both PC, delete:

C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Start11

On each PC, go to the Start11 config and it should prompt you to activate.  Do so by using each key, not email \ password, on each PC.

Okay, I'll delete the file on each laptop. And re-enter the keys. I have them saved in a .txt file for easy copy and paste.

" not email \ password, on each PC. " Yeah, I got no idea what that means.

I have no idea if Mom's laptop would be having this problem or not. She doesn't really use the Start Menu for anything. I have both laptops set up to suit me. If she did get this message, she'd tell me to come fix it.

Edit: Okay, now I see what that means. Never saw that before when I entered my email. Got one done, now to do the other one.

Edit 2: Both are taken care of. I DID NOT use the same key on both laptops. It's weird, the key is there, I have to put in my email account.
