Start 11 - Settings

When you uninstall you are asked if you want to remove your settings.  If you do not then nothing should be lost if you uninstall and then reboot and reinstall Start11.

But please please please give us an Export or Backup facility. I put a lot of work into configuring my start menu into groups and sub-groups (the latter facility not available in Start11 BTW), then thanks to Microsoft trashing that facility, I have to do it all again in Start11. (And what software upgrade is supposed to remove functionality?).

Now I live in fear of Start11 malfunctioning, or having an upgrade with a new (and incompatible) internal data structure, or Start11 being accidentally, removed, or MS making some stupid trick to spoil it, or anything can happen. 

Come on guys, this is IT, backups just go with the territory.

I need to restore start11 to a different windows user account. Can you point me to the configuration settings? Setting up all apps in the start menu took some time, most of it optimizing the layout, so it would be nice not to have to go through this again. 

All of the layout etc for Start11 is stored here in the registry : HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Start8\Start8.ini

Please note that pinned items for Win7/Modern menu are stored on the HD, but if you are using the Win10/11 menu then this should get you what you want.
