Yes it can on release 0.91, but there appears to be a bug in how it works. Here is what I found..

*When you hold the left click button on the top held down, the right side shrinks. It can shrink quite small which is a nice feature but it looks buggy.

*When you hold the left click button on the right side, the bottom starts to shrink upwards

*When you try to adjust the menu size when a custom image loaded then it start menu freezes. If you want to adjust size turn off custom image then turn it back on.

The menu looks good when adjusted just right, but getting it to where you want it will be a bit of a buggy experience.

Resizing works like pretty much any other window.  The only difference being you can only resize from the exposed sides (I.e. the sides not bordering the taskbar or screen edge if right against it).

The corner zone of the window does diagonal resizing, the right does just right, the top does top.  Left click is the only thing that would work, right click would do nothing.

I am not aware of any issues which would cause the bottom to shrink when moving the right or the top impacting the right.

What mouse are you using as thats clearly very odd behaviour indeed.

In the configure the start 11 menu, click about then select check now for your current version.

There are actually a lot of good fixes in the release.

I am using a standard Logitech mouse, and you are right it is actually holding down the left click button that resizes. The curser needs to be kept right at the border and the button needs to be held in place for the resizing to have an opposite affect

in my downloads there is only 0.91 version not 1.91. and i want the menu even more narrower...its wider than win11 own start menu..

From what I am gathering, no one else is able to reproduce what I am experiencing and that it may come down to my mouse settings or some other setting I have on my device that is creating this behavior. I have no clue what it is but will update if I figure it out.

The correct version is 0.91. The 1.91 was a typo.

You can resize the menu from the right hand border.

I figured it out. If you mess with the font size in just the right way the right amount of times it may create the issue I described. I set my font back to 100 percent and it started functioning normal again.

Font sized at 107% seems to be the sweet spot for me for this issue to occur

The padding either side is not adjusted by resizing, that only adjusts the space for content, not the margins.  It will always be a consistent amount of about 1.5cm (assuming screen scaling is set correctly for physical screen size and res).

It sounds like what you would like is a compact mode where the left and right margins are shrunk smaller so there is more content and less border in the window?
