Unable To Pin to Taskbar or Add Personalized Toolbars To Taskbar

Taskbar Still Locked Down

The review article I read online somewhere brought me here because it said the two issues I have below due to the Win11 Taskbar being locked preventing me from customizing it to my needs as explained below. Either the article's author did not perform his due diligence prior to writing and publishing the article or I am missing a config setting in your Stardock App. I am hoping for the later. If it is the prior I'll probably uninstall it and count the loss of the low price to one less beer tonight.

I purchased this utility for two reasons only. 1) To have the ability to be able to pin whatever I wanted to the Taskbar, 2) but most importantly the ability to add my own personalized Toolbars. Over the course of the past 15 years in my career as an IT Dept Manager, I have created and have modified over the years, several custom Toolbars which basically eliminates any need to use the Start Menu or having to drill down true BS layers of menu's to run/use an app, util, or whatever. I could give a shit about the Start Menu, haven't used it in many years.

Hello,
Start11 is still under its Beta stage. And, from what I read, there will be a lot more features added into it before it reach it final stage. As for those features you mentioned, I am not really sure if it will be there or not. There will always question if there limitation on Windows 11 itself to allow this features to be implemented. Personally, I also wish these features you mentioned are somehow return to Windows 11. For now, we just need to wait and see.

Thanks

You can already pin apps to the taskbar in Win11.  You just need to right click on the shortcut or exe, and click the Show more options link on the menu.  This opens the old menu which lets you pick Pin to Taskbar as an option.
