Start 11 not working when Taskbar is at top

I have put the Windows 11 Taskbar at the top of the screen by adjusting the registry (using Winaero Tweaker). No problems with the built-in start menu.

However, Start 11 does not work properly. When I click/press the start menu, I get a menu that appears/disappears a few times a second. Like it is opening and closing the menu over and over. This stops when I click on the desktop.

Can you please fix this? I know the taskbar at the top is not officially supported by Microsoft but many people have used the registry hack. It would be a shame if we couldn't use Start 11.

Are you using Start11 0.5 or 0.55?
