Never combine taskbar in Windows 11

I am not sure whether there is a product in your offerings that is taskbar oriented. Since Start menu is the closest I can think of, I am asking in this forum.

Would it be possible to enable "never-combine" taskbar icons in Windows 11 (the way it worked in Windows 10)? I am frequently running multiple instances of a program (Visual Studio for example) and having multiple "tiles" in task bar with complete title is a huge productivity boost.

If this is not the right forum, please advise what might be a more suitable one.

Thank you.
David.

Hello,

I have forwarded your report to the Stardock support team for their review and recommendations.

Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates.

We really do appreciate your feedback, thanks.

Hi, anything new? I am primarily asking whether to use one of the open-source solutions (you probably know what I'm talking about) or whether I should wait. I would rather use something from a known/trusted vendor so if Stardock plans to do something in this area, I would be willing to wait.

Thank you,
David.

I believe there was supposed to be a post about the roadmap, but the plan is to look at taskbar features for the 1.1 release which is the next big update.

1.0 was about getting the menu features out there, next up is the taskbar.

Thank you Neil. Let's hope there is more clarity (about the plans and/or roadmap) soon since the 1.0 was released now.

I've used Start8 and it was wonderful, I hope Start11 will live up to its standards.

I am also very much interested in:

1. Never combine taskbar icons k6

2. Drag and drop files on taskbar icons k5

These are both things which we are looking to include in the 1.1 release.

I have been fences user for years, now i have bought Start11 only because I expected to find this two features included, but I am a little dissapointed not finding them.

Please Stardock, add this two features, I cant understand how MS has deprecated them for windows 11.

I have tried some registry changes (found at google) to ungroup taskbar, all works, but they have a lot of problems, explorer crashesh, etc.

Glad to hear there are plans to implement this feature. Start11 and a Windows 11 upgrade would be an immediate choice afterwards.

Great, I'm very interested in having taskbar labels back, with the option to disable combining. I tried StartAllBack, which has those options, but it makes too many non-optional changes to the UI that I don't like. I want to stick to the original Win11 UI as much as possible, just with certain functions added back.

Also, it'd be great to have an option to center the icons, but leave the Start button in the corner. (Yeah, I just contradicted myself.)

I navigated my way through the Stardock site, found these forums, then found this post. Add me to the list of people that want these two features. I will buy this app the moment these features are added. Combining taskbar icons is so inefficient.

It takes some effort to find this post so for each person that posts, I bet there are 5-10 people who want this feature but don't hunt out these forum posts.

Hope that gets Stardock excited about adding the features. Thanks!!
