background darkens on loop

I have a short loop that I created from an animated gif, using Vegas pro to render it out into an MP4 file to use with DeskScapes 11.  It works fine, however when it loops at the end of the clip it briefly dims like it's fading out, then goes back to normal at the beginning of the loop.  I've checked the render and the video file does not have this fade out, only when DeskScapes is using it.  Anybody have any idea why this might happen?

End of quote

The problem is the Gif is a short loop made to be a Gif.

so it doesn't loop properly for a dream good enough for

a gif but not a dream .. that causing your issue.

For a better dream video you need  better video footage

to work with that can be edited with a proper loop .

Next dream try to crop out about 15 seconds of a video

( all the same scene ) then split it in half moving the Ist

half to the end then blend it back into the second part for 2 sec.

so now you have a 13 second video and now you'll have a better loop .

** You'll find most short Gif's don't work well for dream loop.

It's literally just 8 different images that I extracted from the gif, and created an mp4 out of.  None of which have a darker frame.  It loops perfectly when in vegas pro, and also when looped in VLC.  I tried extending the video out, looping the frames several times in the video, but the same thing happens.  It loops perfectly within the clip, but when deskscapes reaches the end of the clip there is the dark flicker.  So it not looping properly is NOT the problem.  Now it not being rendered out into a proper format, that would make more sense.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

But like I said using a Gif for video for a dream is not good the Gif

Resolution is to low for a quality dream resolution your video when

I downloaded it is only 768x368 so on an HD screen will be low quality.

1920x1080 or higher is needed for good quality dreams .

Now with that said I downloaded your video as is and made 2 dream

files one at 768x368 and I get now fade to dark at the end ,

I also made a second dream file converting your video to a higher

resolution 1920x1080 avi video and made a dream file with that

also I get no fade at the loop . So not sure why you have an issue .

Here's the link to get the files I made form your video.

LINK : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Aucw87blAoIvC70IaJJTzZ9mzMJxPxTc?usp=sharing

Load my dream files on your PC and see if you still see a fade to

dark ( no issue on my PC ) if you do see it on your PC then it

might be an issue with your PC i.e. video card etc.

What version of Windows are you running ( use winver.exe for that info

What version of DeskScapes are you running ?

I use Vegas Pro for all my recent 4K video renders without issue.

What version of Vegas Pro are you using ?

Hello,

Your Windows is outdated try updating see if that helps .

also Try making another dream and see if the same issue likely not .

also try making dream with video not a Gif .

You see my sample I made with your video and mine doesn't show a dark flicker.

Did you try loading my dream version ? any dark flicker with my version none on my screen.

so something in your process is causing your issue ..

If you're exporting at 25fps try exporting one at 30fps.
