Latest fences update breaks Windows 10 explorer

Installed latest fences update and after reboot windows would not load desktop.  No start menu / desktop or hot keys. Unable to run anything  except - eventually - task manager and command prompt.  did a reboot into safe mode and was able to revert to a restore point prior to install but windows still very flaky.  Last resort was to deactivate my fences licence and uninstall fences.  This fixed the problems.  However on reinstalling fences, my licence key was originally from object desktop which has now expired.  how can i retrieve my fences licence key?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, the license key should still be valid for activation even your subscription is expired. You should be able to get your keys on your account page : https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products

The only 2 that come up are 1 for Object Desktop and 1 for a second Fences subscription I purchased separately.  Does the OD key activate Fences as well as the other OD components?

Yes the OD keys should activate all OD components except it has to be the version you downloaded when your subscription still active. On the other hand your individual Fences purchased, from what I was told, very recently, that should able to activate up to 5 systems. ie. If you purchased it under Fences V3.x than Fences 3.1.3.3 should activate without any problem for 5 system.
