Windows 11

I am in the Windows Insider Program, and have been given the option to update to Windows 11, there are a few changes that are aesthetically appealing, but I don't want to lose, Deskscapes, Fences, and/or Curtains. Will Windows 11 be compatible???

Thanks

Hello,

I have forwarded your report to the Stardock support team for their review and recommendations.

Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates.

We really do appreciate your feedback, thanks.

I too have gone windows 11.

And sure enough there will be compatibility  issues with our stardock products especially those that deal with UI interface like curtains and maybe windowblinds.

Start10, Fences, Groupy, CursorFX works just fine on Windows 11.   The team go need to review the UI interfaces with Windows 11.

End of LEMMORSebrof's quote

Can you tell me if, 1. Was it a complete install and you had to migrate or reinstall programs, and 2. Does your computer have the TPM 2.0 that is a major requirement of Windows 11??? I am to understand the Windows 11 in the "Developer Stage" being offered to Windows Insiders, has none or a few of the security features that is in the Fall release. Mainly because it will be CLOUD ORIENTED. The Microsoft website keeps going over and over, about the NEW taskbar, screen, and widgets; but if it has compatibility issues with non-Microsoft programs I am using now, I don't want it. Thanks

I would strongly urge people to stay clear of the Windows 11 developer preview builds unless you are a developer who needs to develop applications for that platform.

The current builds are not for general consumer use.

You should expect significant bugs and compatibility problems.
