Loss of Mouse Pointer switching between Native Virtual Desktops in Win10 to Edge

Noticed I loose my mouse pointer on Win10 version 21H1and Cursor FX 4.03 when switching between (built-in Win10) virtual desktops.

Edge Version 91.0.864.37 (Official build) (64-bit)

Seems to work correctly if you Windows-key Tab to any selected app and cause a desktop switch.

Pointer Loss if you ALT-Tab to switch to MS Edge and cause a desktop switch.

Pointer Loss, sometimes, if you use taskbar to switch to MS Edge and cause a desktop switch.

Switching back to the original desktop will restore the pointer. Using Windows Default pointer suffers NO pointer loss in the same scenarios.

Anyone else ?

(..I ask while wondering if I'm the only one who actually uses Virtual Desktops ;)

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I can't recreate the issue on my system. Please let us know more on your system.

  1. Display setting, resolutions, scaling, single dual or more monitors.
  2. Issue happen on all CursorFX style?
  3. A video grab on it would be helpful.

This is a video I made and I don't see the issue.

So Windows 10, installed by default, Video drivers (AMD FirePro W4100) may have been the issue.

I figured I'd swap to the latest driver from the manufacturer (like I'd suggest to anyone else having problems with display related issues) and so far the issue seems to be eliminated.. Wasn't expecting this to solve the issue since the video card is soooo old ("work"station provided to me).. kinda figured MS driver would be more up to date (yet possibly more generic/featureless) and it didn't affect the default cursor 🤔

I'll report back if the sit changes.

Thx for the response basj.

... and yes, it was happening on all CursorFX styles, but would not on the 'windows default' at the top of the list of my cursors.
