DeskScapes Beta 2 Issue Report Thread

With the DeskScapes 11 Beta 2 release today, we are creating this thread so that users can report any observed issues.  

Obtaining the beta:

Object Desktop members can get the beta from within Object Desktop Manager with 'show beta downloads' enabled:

Individual purchases (as well as Object Desktop Members) can also be obtained from your account page:

Reporting an issue:

Please include the following for anything found:

  • Exact Windows version \ build (winver.exe)
  • Detailed steps to recreate the issue seen
  • Screenshots and videos are very helpful.  Videos can be uploaded to a cloud drive services (GoogleDrive, DropBox, OneDrive, YouTube) and link included in your post.  Images can be directly added.
  • If there are specific apps that Groupy does not work (well) with, please note what apps and their exact versions.  If any app is not common, a link to a trial version would be appreciated.

DeskScapes 11 Beta 2 Changelog

  • Fixes issue with the 4K flag on some dreams showing incorrectly
  • Alters screensavers to terminate process vs exit on mouse move etc
  • Fixes issue with screensaver applied message up and being able to make app look hung
  • Tweak to wallpaper change detection
  • Tweak for performance loading up playlists
  • Small tweak to the font size on search checkboxes
  • May fix issue with remote desktop - should no longer pause
  • New option for playlists where it will change either after X seconds if non-video or when the video ends (if a video)

As I said I have DeskScapes 10 but not Object Desktop. And in my downloads there is no option for DeskScapes 11 Beta.

So, How Can I test DeskSapces 11 beta? given the fact that I don't own Objects Desktop but Desk Scapes.

Owners of Deskscapes should have access too. I like Deskscapes a lot and I purchase it. But ObjectDesktop is overwhelming to me.

It's absurd having to purchase Object Desktop just to try a Beta of one of its prodcts!!

I got that give the opportunity to test OD 11 to object desktop owners is a token of appreciation for them.

But not to OD owners (I am an OD user since version 8 and I'm happily using 10), in fact I consider it rude.

When DeskScapes 11 is out of Beta and and ready for release 

as a stand alone then you can get it .

Until then you need OD to try out the Beta versions .

Obvious!

 

Stardock won't be so dumb to attach DeskScapes to only OD users. If that was so they will lose me as user... Well in fact they are losing me right now as Customer with these stupid tactics... I bet there are alternatives to Deskscapes that treat better its Customers.
