Acrobat/PDFs malfunctioning

I am aware that automatic grouping is not recommended for Adobe Acrobat (/other Adobe PDF apps) and only have explorer set to auto group. But whenever I open any PDF, Groupy is creating a tab for it in a pre-existing group. The tab doesn't work--only one PDF that is currently open (the first to be opened) actually appears, and all others do not. I didn't have this problem originally; all PDFs worked without problem. I am also using Fancy Zones (PowerToys) to snap apps to grids, but disabling that does not solve anything. If I click and draf the PDF tab to remove from group, it remains invisible. The only option is to close all PDFs and open the one I want to see. As you can imagine, everything has come to a halt due to this.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Not really clear on your issue. But if you do not wish Groupy tab to appear on ungrouped Windows you can untick that "Always show tabs for this type of window".

Make sure you have not set the option to automatically group identical windows together unless on another group set (Groupy settings-Application grouping page)

Why is not recommended?

I'm using Adobe Acrobat XI and it works, but there's a strange bug when maximized in portrait mode screen; the title bar grows in size to half the vertical screen length.  But Groupy groups the tabs appropriately in both portrait and landscape (I use 2 monitors in different configs).
