WindowBlinds 10.87 Release Issue Report Thread

WindowBlinds 10.87 is a culmination of prior fixes.

WindowBlinds 10.87 Changelog

• Fixes the reported issue with UIS2 skins and not painting the text in the tree and the gap for some UIS2 skins with new explorer windows.

WindowBlinds 10.86 Changelog

• Fixes an issue with electron framework apps (like Skype) being excluded when they have a standard caption
• Fix for Chrome losing frames in some situations.

WindowBlinds 10.85 Changelog

• Firefox no longer has an issue with the min, max, close buttons clicking when firefox is allowed to skin but the titlebar isn't set to be above tabs. (It will not use the WB skin in this mode)
• Firefox, when titlebar is above tabs now, paints the caption text correctly
• Thunderbird no longer paints black in the top right corner and the main window is excluded from WB
• Chrome / Edge paint the titlebar correctly on initial launch now
• PDFLite / SumatraPDF no longer has a missing tab bar. Due to the way this app works the titlebar with the tabs is excluded
• EM Lite app is now excluded as it is entirely custom and was experiencing issues with WB skinning
• Skype may now animate with WindowFX
• Start menus with animations may no longer show under the start menu when used with Start10 and WindowFX animations. Please note menus that use blur will not animate with WindowFX.
• Added dark mode support to WindowBlinds config UI. Force this via the top right cog if on Win7 or always want dark mode regardless of OS setting
• Worked around incompatibility with OpenShell/ClassicShell where it does not disable its taskbar skinning and so stops WB skinning the taskbar
• Auto excluded electron app main windows
• Note: Adobe Acrobat, when in-app container, mode no longer renders without frames on Windows 10 (It cannot use the WB skin however as it is sandboxed)

Having a serious issue with the Quick Launch area on ALL skins. Note that if Windows 10 Default Windows Mode is set to Dark Mode that the taskbar height is 60 pixels and Normal text is light and all is good. But if Windows 10 Default Windows Mode is set to Light Mode, the Normal text turns dark and the taskbar area goes to 46 pixels in height. Also, the image assigned to that area switches to what appears to be the Normal button assigned to the taskbar buttons when in Light Mode, and not the image assigned to the Quick Launch area.

Also, notice in the other image that Windowblinds is not showing the correct Windows version installed.

Sure hope these issues can be addressed quickly. Thanks.

Is this a new issue with WB?

Just noticed it last night Neil, so yes, a new issue.

Within WBConfig-

After adjusting transparencies, you should be able to click on the objects to reset them - Start Menu, Taskbar, Window Frames, Menus.  While the UI is in Dark Mode, as far as I can tell Start Menu and Taskbar don't respond, Window Frames and Menus do.  "Reset All" button still works.  They all seem to work while the UI is in Light Mode.

Not a new issue I reported it months ago for like an older WB version and no one said anything was wrong about it :/

Though in light mode, the text is transparent and you can see the wallpaper behind it.

Here is a video showcasing the issue I had back in july of last year... There is also an issue with the taskbar buttons not loading the correct font color also showcased in the video.

windowblinds è molto lento e molte volte si blocca e non mi cambia la try section

Need  more information on your system

1. Windows version, please use Winver.exe for full Windows version numbers.
2. Windowblinds versions.
3. Is the slow issue happen on any theme or only few themes? If just few please list down those themes.
4. Also post a video somewhere and link it here so we can see what your issue is more clearly.
5. As for those part/section not change by Windowblinds, post a screenshot  and point to us which sections that you're referring to.

Is the issue happen on all WB theme or just one theme? Please use theme that come along with Windowblinds, such as Diamond or Corporate, and use Windows 10 program like "Snipping tool" to make your screenshot. Make a bigger more details so we can understand it better.

In questo modo Windowblinds non piace mi fa veramente schifo.

Se non si risolve il problema disinstallero tutto e chiedero il rimborso di tu i miei programmi scaricati.

I can't help you since I can see what is the issue. If you like please try the purge and reinstall and see if the issue help. Purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here https://forums.stardock.com/486023/windowblinds-support-faq#reinstalling. Just make sure to re-download the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purged. Reinstall, and Reboot again after the installation. Retest it. Report back here.

La skin Oniz è stata progettata per Windows XP, probabilmente non funzionerà correttamente in tutte le aree su Windows 7, 8 o 10.

Yes, as LightStar mentioned, both of those skins you mentioned and screenshots are from 2007 and 2003 era and not been updated to work properly for Windows 10. That said, I tried Onix on my system. The Taskbar and its tray look fine to me. The issue most probably on your system. It is best to start a new thread to work on your issue.

Please give me links to that skin so I can check it.

If you want to remove the skin that giving your issue, please delete the skin off. Refer to screenshot below. Right click on that skin and select "Delete style".
