Gal Civ III

validating DLC error

EVery time I try to launch this game it tells me that it cannot validate some DLC files and so sucks to be you. I hadn't actually downloaded any new content but uninstalled and re-installed several times and no joy. So I went and paid £3.99 for some DLC just thinking this would force it to reset. Nope. Uninstalled, re-installed and it still shows the little link with a non functioning url link to start a ticket. I loved this game and now I hate it. How do I fix this anyone? Even telling me how to create a ticket would help.

thanks

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

Have you tried this solution?

Error 'The following folders are in a state of partial install'

Go to wherever your Galciv install is; by default, it is:

Steam:
\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Galactic Civilizations III
Epic:
\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\GalacticCivilizations3

Rename the DLC directory there to DLC.OLD then do a file verification.

Try to run the game again after the files are reacquired.

Thank you for your patience and patronage.

Will give it a go. Although computers are not my speciality. I have also heard that just buying the offending crusader pack will work so might try that if this does not do it.

Thanks
