Details View in Fences not an option (SOLVED)

Details view isn't even an option on my installation

Hi All,

 

I can't put it plainer than the title. Unless I'm totally blind it SHOULD be under the different options for the icon sizes.. I re-viewed the trailer on youtube and looked again and no joy. That was one of the reasons for buying it. I bought the whole object desktop (why not?) just for fences with the details view and now I've fallen at the first fence (no pun intended - it's actually what I would have said ;-) )

I have LOADS of other bugs/ irritations (well  at least 4 so far mostly to do with screen refreshing )  but i will post them on a different thread - so far Close but no cigar .... 

 

I thought that detail was available in all fences - No... I had to create a Folder Portal THEN drag my files in there while holding down the Alt key.

 

RTFM? although I found it by playing around.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I believe, those video you see with Details views was from Portal Fences not normal Fences. Normal Fences is like a your normal icons on your desktop. You can't view it in Details views. While Portal Fences is just like your Windows explorer, which have Details view.
