Cannot group Citrix applications

Hi,

Any Citrix applications are invisible to Groupy either automatically or in the "add to group" menu.

Here are a few diagnostic information grabbed from a similar thread:

  • The window must appear on the taskbar and not have toolwindow style
    Yes it is
  • The window must not be owned by another window
Not sure, but the "RDP" app appears under "Citrix HDX Engine" in the task manager

Is there a way to force application discovery?

Citrix is a very common use-case for remote workers, the parent app seems to always be "C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\ICA Client\wfica32.exe" so I imagine that you could create an exception for it.

Groupy version 1.47

Windows 10 Home N version 20H2 build 19042.804

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

We dont use Citrix, nor do they appear to have any trials to do tests with.

When I asked the lead Dev about it:

What I would need is info from SPY++ (or a similar window spy tool) on the windows in question. Window Class, window styles, extended window styles
If that is something you could provide, we can look into it further.

Thank you.

More and more people at my company are using an ultra-wide screen, they could benefit a lot from using groupby I believe.

We have been looking into this but noticed an oddity.  The window in question seems to be invisible?

Did you drag the spy++ finder tool onto the actual window on screen?  Which class did that show as?
