Only "Aero Skins" has this bug. When enable old skin XP Luna or Win98 then DWM usage GPU 9-20%.

Link to that "Aero skins" please, Wincustomize.com. Need to test that one out on my system.

I don't see it that high. It did goes up to around 30%++ but it does not stay that high. It get down to around below 10% for me. I am on a low end GPU, GTX 1050ti. So it might be something else causing it high on your system. Try the cleanboot to see if there is something else causing it. https://forums.stardock.com/486023/windowblinds-support-faq#cleanboot

This is what I get, changing from the Aero7X Reset to Acrylic 7 and back to Aero7X with different substyle.

But in background you not play video from youtube. (my first post)

And what state you have enabled for nVidia GPU, P8 ?

When i enable non Aero Glass WB skin or when i enable Windows native skin then DWM has low gpu usage. Only when i enable Aero Glass WB skin i have very high gpu usage and when youtube play in background the clip has lag and thering (youtube + DWM = 99%/100% GPU usage P8 state).

Yes I see it goes up more with a video playing in the background. My guess is that it need the extra work to render those blurry transparent part on the Windows frame. It goes down when you paused the video on the background. The screenshot below was while the video still running and its high a bit but does not goes beyond 40% at any time. BTW this is on my 4K monitor.

Not really sure about this one.

Thank you,

When i enable 3D Clock then DWM has only 3% GPU usage, but when i enable 2D Clock P8 State then DWM has 70% GPU usage. WB doesn't like 2D Clock P8 ?

In some pc config nVidia has bug, when enable in nvidia control panel max performance then GPU does not decrease clocks. To force 2D clocks you need to use nVidia Inspector to force P8 state.

Downclocking your GPU would naturally mean a larger percentage would be used.  If it needs say 200Mhz to do the rendering and you downclock to 250Mhz then it would say 80%, but when the GPU runs at 1Ghz it would show only 20%. No change in actual usage.

Blur is computationally expensive.  You can opt into the less complex blur (Win7 style) from the WB settings window - See Force non acrylic blur on later Windows 10 versions.

You would probably find putting calculator on top of the video and giving it focus would also be costly GPU wise when you have downclocked your GPU as the calculator window would also show blur in the background.  It may be a little less because it is one window vs multiple, but the principle is the same.

Ok

P8 State is for 480p, 720p, 1080p

P5 State is for 1440p, 4k

I change from P8 to P5 but DWM still has very high gpu usage (from 70% to 60% but youtube works correct) I enable some times a go Force non acrylic blur because some skins it requires.
