I am on Windows 10-1607 and just installed WindowsFx 6.1 but nothing happens when I turn it on.
I have tried to purge it and reinstall to no effect.
Program says Windows Desktop Manager is enabled.
Version 6.1 should be compatible with Windows 10
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. Any specific reason you are not updating to the latest version of Windows? You're on Windows 10 version back in 2015-2016? A lot have changed for Windows 10 since then. https://www.stardock.com/products/windowfx/history And WindowFX 6.1 was just release early this year. So there might be a compatibility issue.

I also have windows 7 on another partition and windowsfx does not work here either. According to system specifications the latest windowsfx is compatible with windows 7.
The previews in the software work but most of the the effects are not applied to windows etc. Transparency to windows when moving is the only one applied.
On Windows 7, I have forward your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

I know this seems rather simple, but have you set your preferred animations? If not, it will use Windows default animations.
I have tried version 6.1 on Windows 10 latest version virtual machine (Windows Crash), Windows 7 and Windows 10-1607(not working). In Windows 8.1 Virtual machine Windowsfx version 6.1 works. And yes I have used different presets.
Then I decided to try former version 6.0.5 and now everything works.
