Hello,

thanks for the quick support. My windows cloud clipboard feature is disabled and also not in use from phraseexpress.

I´d suggest i forward you the simple macro, so you can import it in your phrasexpress test install and test it immediately…

Furthermore, couldn´t there be a complete clipboard disablement switch in multiplicity settings, in order not to interfere with other programs? I personally do not need any clipboard functionality in multiplicity.

Hello,

i got a reply notification from your forum software, but no reply is here….or was it the notification from my own reply…don't know.

If you have disabled the option for sharing clipboard in multiplicity and rebooted it shouldn't be doing anything at all with clipboard.

We would need the macro and full instructions on use to investigate as thats not a product we are familiar with.  I did notice it give a warning about intellipoint on open so it may be it simply doesn't like anything which uses keyboard hooks.

Multiplicity 3.57 significant input lag on remote/secondary machine in KVM mode with VMware Workstation Pro.

Primary Host OS: Windows 10 20H2 (build 19042.985)

Secondary Host OS:  Windows 10 20H2 (build 19042.985)

-- Application incompatibility:  VMware Workstation Pro 16.1.2 (build 17966106)

When Multiplicity 3.57 is running on the secondary machine, there is a lag of at least 4 seconds when navigating from the primary host to the secondary host (with virtual machines running) and attempting any sort of input... keyboard or mouse.  When multiplicity is unloaded, there is no lag on the secondary machine.  This was not an issue until 3.57 was installed.

To be clear, the Secondary is not a VM but running one, yes?

If true, and the VM is shut down, does the 'lag' persist?

Sean,

You are correct.  I am accessing a secondary machine which is the VM host... not guest.

When the VMs are unloaded the lag does disappear.  There is no discernable delay in the secondary machine recognizing input from either the mouse or keyboard.

When you see this issue, what does the CPU usage look like in Task Manager, and if high (likely) what process(es) is getting crushed?

If you turn off clipboard sharing, does it still persist?

Sean,

My initial assessment may have been off.  The issue is NOT resolved by turning off clipboard sharing.  I even restarted Multiplicity on both primary and secondary machines.  I also did not see high CPU utilization during the issues of input lag.

What I did notice, however, is that if Multiplicity loads before VMware, everything seems to work has they have previously.  But, I saw that both VMware guests briefly went to a "not responding" state.  After that, the lag was persistent until I restarted VMware.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for your time!

Still, it's more luck than judgement if the mouse cursor appears on the secondary on a single additional KVM install. Mouse just seems to fade away. Have done all suggested fixes simply put it's slowing production to a standstill. Is the fact I'm using a wireless mouse an issue because I don't have any problems on either when connecting directly. Ideas to fix or I am ditching this idea.

Hello,

what about my issue "** lag**" from May 25, 2021?

- What is the result progress

- do you need information from me?

- did you test with the aforementioned program?

The lag is still a problem every day.

I have installed it and you can post a shared link to the macro.

Hello,

here it is:

Link To the Text Block

In one point i was wrong: it does not need to be a "macro" in phraseexpress. It depends on the text length.

Below somewhat 30 characters (?) of the textblock its slowly inserted, above its fast inserted.

When mulitplicity is unloaded, then its always fast inserted, regardless of the text length.

Hello All,

I am currently installing 3.57 to update from 3.44 and when installed on a Win7 32 bit machine I cannot launch the local application instance.  Master was updated first,Win10 Enterprise, no issues. Secondary was then updated, Win7 32-bit, unsuccessfully. The service is running, firewall config stayed the same and I can still connect to it from my master. But when locally launched all I get is a long delay then a webpage for stardock. Master is running 3.57 and the Secondary has been downgraded back to 3.44 for full functionality until this is resolved.

Steps Taken -

Uninstall 3.44, reboot, Install 3.57 - Long pause then sent to a webpage and no application popped up

Uninstalled 3.57, reboot

I tried to do an incremental upgrade(3.44 to 3.55 to 3.57) - same result (sent to webpage and no application)

I tried a full clean install using your *.bat file to remove all registry entries. Did this twice for both 3.55 and 3.57 - same result (sent to webpage and no application)

Finally uninstalled and went back to 3.44

All processes were performed using the local administrator account each time.

Please let me know what steps I can take to assist the diagnosis

That indicates that the PC that is happening on has dated root certificates.  You can updated them manually:

Or do a 'Windows update' on said PC.

I've been having serious issues with the audio sharing for several versions now.

my secondary computer is sending audio to my primary computer it works okay. but it seems if the audio ever gets interrupted. like by the cpu spiking on the secondary (or primary) computer the audio stops sending and never comes back and I have to uncheck send audio to when receiver is online and recheck it. that's the only way it comes back and I have to do this all the time now if I'm watching youtube or something that may spike cpu. if it came back on its own and resync after a while that would be fine but I have to uncheck and recheck all the time.

I've tried messing with the slider and adding more buffering and delay but it doesn't seem to help very much
