I was having the same problem. It has to do with WindowsFX not playing nice with Curtians. As soon as I turned off windowsfx it worked fine for me. Hope this helps I love both prgs, but for now can only use one at a time....

I have just figured it out... I think! LOL

If you look at my last screenshot and look at the processes you will see "Stardock ShadowFX" listed. That does not show up in my list on Object Desktop. It must have been there for a long time and slipped my mind because it's not in OD. I just uninstalled that and Curtains started working properly right away. I have even done a reboot to make sure so fingers crossed that is the issue solved: Curtains 1.17 is incompatible with ShadowFX. The previous version clearly worked fine so something that was altered broke compatibility.

ShadowFX has never been compatible with Curtains.  The two products overlap too much for this.  Whichever one loaded last probably worked and thats probably timing sensitive.

Uninstalling it will indeed resolve the issue.

WindowFX should not have any issues with Curtains as there is no feature overlap between them.

What exactly is not working?

Issues like this when windows fx is active.  When it's deactivated it seems to work fine.

I am afraid this is nothing to do with WindowFX, but an issue with the insider build of Windows you are using.

It would be appreciated if you could file a bug with Microsoft using the Feedback tool as the more reports, the better chance of Microsoft fixing the issue.  This can also be seen with the native frames with the shadows when the accent colour is changed until windows get repainted.  In that case they only paint in the corners.
