Why is the server ALWAYS busy?

I have a registered version of WB4 and everytime I get on this site to look for new themes, after 2 minutes a "busy" server error message comes on. I never seen this message ever until now. This has been going on for 3 days now no matter what time of day I get on. Even at 3:00am the server is busy! Do they want more money? To get rid of this message and continue to surf, just send us more money. I thought that registering WB, I would get no problems. You can't get blood from a stone. >

BTW... when does windowblinds 5 come out? Rumour has it - soon, so we can dish out more money.

They are adding more servers to try and fix the problem. Remember, there are 1/2 million more people on this site since they added the last servers. I haven't seen the problem that your complaining about. Guess I'am lucky.

This is the first time that I have seen that message and I've been on here since the end of last year. I finally got the registered version of WB4 not even 2 weeks ago and for the past 3 days I've seen the dreaded message. I thought maybe they wanted me to open up my wallet even more since they found out I was rich enough to get WB4.

Oil, you need to cross referrence your accounts.  You are still on the server for visitors and guests of user level 2 or below (people who have not purchased a product or contributed enough to get their status raised).  I was not able to locate any other records under the email address or name that you login with, so I am not able to give you any other assistance.  There is info about cross referrencing in our faq, and your "edit account" (at the top of WC) has that function built in.

Obviously, that is *your* rumor, since there are *no* current plans for 5  (Besides, we'd do a 4.5 first, anyway )

There you go. They want more money from me. I just got home and got on this website to browse and this message came back, so I cut and pasted it on here. Is this site that broke where you have to pay to browse it? What does wincustomize do with all their money?

In reponse to cute little KarmaGirl: I used a different email address when subscribing to WB4 than I have to log on here. I still don't understand why you have to pay to browse this website. I can see paying to use windowblinds or other programs from here, but to browse this site looking for additional themes. It makes no sense. The addon makers on here do not get paid for their work, why must I pay to download their work after I have paid for windowblinds? It's paid with aftertax dollars, so their should be no tax on the face amount.

To upgrade your "USER LEVEL", you must have puchased a product from *Stardock or WinCustomize or the WinCustomize Subscription. If you used the same email address on WinCustomize.com as you did to place your purchase the system will automatically upgrade your access the next time you logon. However, if you used a different email address then you must use the 'Cross Reference with your Stardock Account' option on the 'Edit Account' page. Enter in the email address in which you used to purchase or register your product. If you have since changed that email address and had it updated in our system then cross reference to that account. If you have changed your email address and no longer have access to the old one, then you will need to email Stardock to have your email address changed on your account for our product registrations. After that is completed then cross reference to that email address if it is different than the one you use on WinCustomize.

*Note that it says or. You do not need to buy the Wincustomize subscription.

If you will cross-reference your account, as KarmaGirl suggested, you'll be on a different server, and your problem will be solved. Yes, your wife is correct.......... you complain too much, before you get the facts straight. And buying a subscription, is not paying to download skins. The subscriptions are to help pay for the astronomical bandwidth costs, and also gets you on the better server. But once again, you don't have to subscribe, cross reference your account with the email address you used to purchase WB.

That is obvious, and that is why my response started with "you need to cross reference your accounts".  That is what the cross reference feature is for: to cross reference two email addresses (one that you log in with and one that you purchased with).  There are two servers- one feeds paying customers and those who contribute to the site, the other for access level 2 and below.  Please use the cross reference feature before posting about this again as you obviously haven't done it yet since you are still at a "2".  If you logically look at this- how else would we know that the person that is logging in with one name and email address is the same person who registered with a different name and email address?

Man, engaging one's analytical faculties before going off on a "They want more money from me" rant might be a good idea. KG told you what you need to do (and that advice apparently bounced off the atmosphere and back into space) and you're still going on about it?

Sheesh, edit your account already so the email used here matches the email you used when purchasing WB: https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?cmd=CrossRef and poof! no more problem.
