Can you: Group Popped up emails in Outlook, but not the main window?

This is what I would like to achieve, but automatically.  I have a Kanban board built into Outlook, and the way I read emails is I double click them and they pop up.  You can see my main outlook window behind the tabbed Groupy window with three emails.

Right now, this behavior is that when I have no emails popped up, but have the auto-group enabled for outlook, it will tab the main window, which I do not want.  Instead I have to create a tabbed interface of two or more emails, then set auto-group to enabled for it to work.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

I cant immediately think of a way to accomplish what you want.  What I would think you could do it have it open in the main OL window then when done, just drag the main OL window out leaving just the open emails in a group.

I do understand that's an option but it kind of defeats the purpose, because as soon as I open another email, it pops up in a new tab in the Main OL window, which is what I don't want.

I get your issue but it's really not a limitation \ flaw with Groupy, its just that you are dealing with the same app \ process with OL and its child windows.

It's not a bug (but definitely a limitation/flaw in this reviewer's opinion), just wanted to know if there was a way to differentiate windows within OUTLOOK.exe like I can in Auto Hotkey using coded queries.  If not, then I guess this is a request for a feature.
