I was editing a windowblinds theme's toolwindow texture but it won't change. I tried everything. Testing the skin, force reimporting it, applying it, it doesn't work.
Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but if you are on Windows 10, forget it, it doesn't use ToolWindows at all.
I'm editing a working theme, I edited the image and changed the colors, saved, and now it won't change.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, need to know which frame are you trying to change? The main Windows frame or just the Tool Windows? If you trying to change the Windows frame, your are doing it at the wrong location.

How do you change the credit for a skin? I made an edit of another and want to add my name.
In SkinStudios, While edited skin is open, File->Skin Property.
Do note, if you are editing someone else Skin, and you edit only part of the skin, you can use the skin as your own in your system. But, you can't upload or share that skin with others unless there is permission by the original author.
