Docks keep deleting on own

Why isn't this fixed

Hi, I've been using object dock for a long time now.

Lots of problems.  I keep waiting for an update with bugs fixed, but never any updates.

I've seen this problem reported by other users as well.

My quick launch docks keep deleting.  I have 3 docks I usually set up up, one on the left edge of my screen, one on the right, and one on the bottom.  Toggling between my 2 displays seems to trigger all 3 do disappear occasionally, and then it creates a default dock at the bottom of my screen with the windows icon, a weather icon (which doesn't work), a recycle bin, and the clock.

When I re-create my docks, as soon as I drag my shortcuts back onto the docks, my custom png/icon images automatically get reassigned (which is one nice thing) as apposed to the default icons for the shortcuts.  This makes this extremely tedious task slightly less painful, but nevertheless, it still is extremely tedious and painful.

Again, I've seen other reports of this issue even from a couple of years ago.  How has this still not been fixed??

Another problem is that whenever I resize the icons on one of my docs (size or zoom above or below a certain point), the icons reset to default images, and then I have reassign my customer png/icon images.

There's a free alternative dock which is fairly similar that doesn't have these issues at all, but I purchased Stardock Object Dock because it allows multiple docks that the free alternative doesn't.

This has the potential to be good software, but these are major major major problems.  I'm confused why these haven't been fixed.  I'm a windows developer myself, and if you just sit down and look at these issues, you could probably fix them in just a couple of hours.

For the weather dock, I live in Nanaimo, BC, Canada.  Please update your software to allow this Canadian city on Vancouver Island.  If the weather service your software connects to doesn't support this Canadian city, please add support through another weather service, or contact the one you're using and ask them to add support for Canadian cities for goodness sakes.  It's 2020, 11 days from 2021.  This is really basic stuff.

While I'm at it, I might as well add this.  Both my displays are 4k displays that are run at native resolution.  If you could also please add support for higher resolution icons, the 192 pixels for size, and 256 pixels for zoom is kind of on the small side when running a 4k display.  Maybe doubling each of these values would be good.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. If you are on Windows 10, than you should know that ObjectDock is not compatible for Windows 10 and from what I know, it won't get any update soon.

Thanks

I'm using Windows 7.  However, I also tried on Windows 8.  Same exact issues on both.

Is there someone from Stardock who can help with these issues?

Can you please pass the info on to the programmer(s) of ObjectDock?  I'm sure they could help no problem.

If you send me the code, I can fix it for you as well.  Free of charge if you're interested in a volunteer.  :)
