no sound in deskscapes

I have no audio in deskscapes with sound. I have installed k-lite codec pack to see if this corrected the problem. Deskscapes appears in volume mixes as enabled. Anyway I have no problems with audio with the rest of my audio and video software.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

*** to Mute Sound go to taskbar right corner
click on sound icon/mixer/mute DSHost Dream

Check this and is if your dreams are muted 

if so un mute.

Make sure the dreams do have sound included 

most dream don't .

report back please.

I have DeskScapes unmuted in mixer (not shown DSHost Dream). Sometimes I have 2 DeskScapes unmuted.

Is DSHost Dream the same as the the DeskScapes option or a separate option.

Anyway with 2 DeskScapes options unmuted I still have no sound with a DeskScape audio included.

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

What version of Windows are you running ( full numbered version - use winver.exe to get that )

Version of Deskscapes ?

 

 

The Audio in the Deskscapes app allows you to hear sound as it plays back in the app.

But will adjust the audio level up or down when played on the desktop.

The DSHost controls the audio as it plays back on your desktop .

Both can play at the same time if app is playing back and the dream on the desktop

are playing at the same time .

But they are separate audio controls .

Windows Version: Windows 10 Version 1607 Build 14393.1884.

DeskScapes Version: DeskScapes 10

I have tried Your suggested Dream and it plays with sound (DeskScapes sound control in mixer is enabled)

You write that many DeskScapes are without sound but I presume that when they have an audio control there must be some sound.

I have personalized your suggested dream as desktop background but how to I open within DeskScapes app?

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

First I'll say Deskscapes keeps updated to work with the latest 

version of Windows , your version is very outdated .

So unless you update Windows it will be hard to pinpoint

some issues .

any reason not to update windows ?

According to system requirements DeskScapes is compatible with any version of Windows 10.

I stick to Anniversary Version as there has been many problems with later versions and their updates not to mention the issues of Meltdown/Spectre patches and wait for the rumored 2021 version which should be a complete overhaul of the System as Big Sur in Mac.

But anyway thanks for your support soforth. As you wrote many deskscapes are only animated without sound so I have to look for Dreams with sound as Your own suggested.
