Auto group doesn't work properly

from Stardock Forums

I explain this bug with following example:

open "cmd.exe" then open another "cmd.exe"

in this case "auto group" is on but it open second "cmd.exe" in new window.

when i group those two "cmd.exe" and open third "cmd.exe", "auto group" works properly and it open in those group.

edition: windows 10 pro

version: 20h2

os build: 19042.630

groupy version: 1.44

Sorry to hear you are having issues. I can't reproduce your issue. Please make sure you actually have set CMD.exe to autogroup.

If it is happening on all program, than perhaps there is something wrong with the installation. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here: https://forums.stardock.com/488142/groupy-support-faq#reinstalling Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purged. Reinstall, and Reboot again after the installation. Retest it. Report back here.

I think i found the issue.

Only group windows of the same application or type with each other

when this option is on, that issue happen otherwise  works perfectly.
