Notepad un-groups itself

...and one other thing

I am giving Groupy a 30 trial and I have a notepad window with a saved note (which, coincidentally, is named "Decide on Groupy" and contains the date I want to remember to make that decision on) and I frequently find that window has decided it has had enough being grouped and ungroups itself. If this is a common occurrence with other windows, I'm not sure I'd want to buy it, inexpensive as it is.

And another thing, I've tried repeatedly to change the color of the active tab and have had zero luck in that regard, and I'm guessing it's because I am not in place above mode (whatever that is!) Why isn't it available in all modes?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues.

1) Groupy ungroup itself, need more information on this. Is this issue on notepad only or any grouped application? Could you post a video on this issue so we can understand this issue better.

2) Groupy tabs color, yes its only apply to "Always place above mode"

So far I've only noticed it on Notepad. I go away from the computer overnight and when I come back in the morning Notepad is in it's own window. I don't know how to make a video, sorry.

I gave "Always place above" mode a try and I like it so I'll keep using that. Thanks for your reply.

The only thing that comes to mind is something destructive is happening when the PC goes to sleep \ is awoken - which I am near certain you have it set to do, yes?

I, too, was wondering if it was happening because I put my laptop to sleep every now and then.

It only goes to sleep if I tell it to by using the shutdown command or by shutting the laptop lid. I tested with shutting the lid, but it didn't happen that time.

When I finish work today I'll try using the shutdown menu option and see if that makes a difference.

What is Notepad being grouped with?

Notepad was (before I decided to go ahead and purchase Groupy and closed Notepad) grouped with 2 instances of Scrivener, 1 of Zotero, and 1 Google Chrome.

I put the laptop to sleep using the keyboard last night rather than shutting the lid, and when I woke it up this morning everything was ungrouped, but that may be because everything (!!!) (other than Zotero) was no longer running.

I'll try this again tonight and see if that happens again. And, yes, I'm sure I chose Sleep, not Shut down or Restart.
