Groupy

Afternoon,

I have purchased the "groupy" app for my work pc and have tried to launch it however it does not seem to work. i am running windows 10 and I have also purchased fences which seems to work fine. would you have any recommendations to fix this or a step by step guide to reinstall?

If you need any additional information ill be to happy to provide it if necessary

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues.  Please try purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here: https://forums.stardock.com/488142/groupy-support-faq#reinstalling Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purged. Reinstall, and Reboot again after the installation. Retest it. Report back here.

I have gone through the above process and then re "LAUNCH" through steam. how do I activate the application once I have it launched?

I am sorry, but if you purchased through Steam, please follow the steps meant for Steam only.

For Steam Purchases:
Even after using the purge file, you still need to use the 'uninstall' option (image is for Fences but its the same for Groupy):

Then re-Install from Steam and Steam only.

 

Please DO NOT change any of the default settings until you verify that the application is running as expected in its default state.

Try that and report back.

I have gone through the process however I can not seem to get it to launch. would you have any other suggestions?

Would like to know more on your system.

  1. Windows version, please use Winver.exe for full Windows version numbers.
  2. Computer CPU: Intel, AMD or ARM (Snapdragon) etc

I have had a look through my task manager and there is nothing to say Groupy is running

I am wondering, you're installing using Groupy downloaded from Steam, yes?

I have been trying, however, I thought I would try the free trial after another college had got the trial to work on their computer and I can't seem to run the trial either?

I believe, the trial don't work like the Steam versions. The activation method is different. You'll need the Steam version to activate with Steam. It won't work with any other version.

I have just tried to launch dit again and it has worked. I'm not too sure what the issue was however it is running fine at the moment.
