Icons no longer labelled when hovered over

Object Dock - Disappearing Labels

Hi, I have Object Dock version 2.20.0.862. I've have been using this program for a very long time - it is excellent. I also have "automatically check for updates" ticked, (checked if you are American!), so I presume that this is the latest version.

Quite frequently the labels on each object cease to be displayed when any and all of the objects are hovered over. It is very easy to rectify this. All I have to do is quit the program and re-run it from the Object Dock Taskbar icon left there. Immediately, the labels are back. I can't identify and pattern of circumstances under which this very slight occurs, It appears to be completely random.

So this is nothing more than a small irritation in an otherwise very useful application, but it would be quite nice to cure it.

Help appreciated

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more on your system.

1) Windows version. Please use Winver.exe for full Windows version numbers.

Thank you,

Hi Basj, Wow! Fast response - excellent, thank you.

So, Winver.exe  says:  Windows 10 version 1909 (OS Build 18363.1082)

Hope that helps.

Alex.

Hello,

It sad to inform that ObjectDock is not fully compatible with Windows 10 and, for now, there is no plan, that I know off, to make it compatible with Windows 10.

Thank you,

That is a great shame - especially because that in my (one year, probably longer) experience of using it, I have found that it IS compatible with Windows 10 (64-bit Pro in my case).  I use it every day for fast and accurate access to the many folders and apps I use. I  have 36 icons on the Quick Launch Dock at the bottom of the screen, and 5 tabs holding 39 icons between them on the Tabbed Dock at the top of the screen. Object Dock is just so very easy to organise and compartmentalise what I use, whilst at the same time sitting discretely out of the way on my screen. Just imagine how cluttered my desktop would be if I had those 75 icons messing up my view instead! Not to mention having to scan all of them to find the one I wanted.

This VERY MINOR issue is the ONLY problem that I have ever found with it. The program just simply works very well indeed.

I I did once look around to see what other companies offer that might be similar. Not one of them was anywhere near as good as yours. I have not had any need to search around recently - including not looking at your website, but I do know that your company sells other utility applications. Is it the case perhaps that some of your other offerings provided similar or the same functionality - hence why this one is no longer being supported? If so, which?

Alex.
