Fences and Groupy licensing on work PC that I am the only user of

Hi.

I would like to use Fences and Groupy on a work PC that was given to me by my employer. The Company is not mine, yet I am the only user of the laptop I have been given. In this case, which kind of license should be used personal or enterprise? If enterprise license should be bought, can I as a non-company-affiliate person buy it, or should the company buy it for me? I should also mention, that the company I work for would make no direct profit from the 2 software being used.

I already read the Licensing policy of both products, but to this use case I didn't get a straightforward answer. I already emailed Stardock directly about it too, around a week ago, still no answer. I also tried searching the internet about it, but the closest thing I came across was the max number of devices on which Stardock software can be installed.

Can anyone please clarify it to me?

Thanks in advance,

Ann.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

In practice, where you use a license is less relevant.  How you want it to act \ what benefits are more germane.

To cite what is important here:

The 'For Business; licenses for products have advantages for large deployment and has email support baked in.  The qty you purchase would allow X concurrent activations on a single key.

What we call the 'retail' license, what general consumers use, is only ever 1 activation and support is done in the forums (like this).

That clears things up. Thank you very much. And just for me to be sure than, I can use the personal licenses for Groupy and Fences on the work laptop without getting into legal trouble as far as I don't do things like selling the license or similar, illegal stuff?

End of kak8gm's quote

That would be fine, yes.
