Icons and Fences disappear after dragging beyond edge of screen

Hi

Before I describe this problem, I want to state that, this is a great app! I Love it! The only problems I have had is the 'Desktop Pages' feature.

====================

Desktop Pages Problem

When I drag icons beyond edge of screen, the icons do not go to Desktop 2 or anywhere to be found on my Fences desktop. The icons do appear in C:\Users\UserName\Desktop.  The icons that that I drag to the edge of the screen disappear. Where are my missing icons?

Update: More problems.

1. Now one of my Fences has disappeared. Again, the icons exist in C:\Users\UserName\Desktop.

2. I moved a second fence by dragging it to the edge of the screen. Now the second fence is missing as well.

None of these problems seem to be related to Auto-hide.

I disabled and enabled 'Desktop pages'. No luck.

Update: More problems

I am successfully navigating between pages. The missing icons and missing Fences are not in any Fences desktop.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Those icons should be on the next Fences Desktop page. You should be able to bring back those icons if you disable Desktop pages. Or learn how to use Fences Desktop page to navigate those pages.

I disabled "Desktop Pages". The missing icons and missing Fences are still missing.

I tried to recreate the missing Fences and dragging the icons from C:\Users\UserName\Desktop. to the newly created Fences and I get an error message "The source and destination file names are the same."

Hello,

Please try disable Fences and see if all the icons returned to your desktop?

If yes, please re-enable Fences and try the snapshot restores. Pick earliest date to restore. Probably 3 days ago.

Update:

Solution: I uninstalled Fences, Then I deleted the snapshot files in

C:\Users\Angelo DiBraccio\AppData\Roaming\Stardock\Fences\Backups

and the Registry Key:

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Fences.

I restarted. Then I reinstalled Fences.

All settings reverted  back to default. All problems resolved. Hope this help other users.

On my System, (Latest version of Windows, Latest version of Fence), the Desktop Pages feature is causing problems. I decided not to use this feature. Everything else works fine.

I found the reason for the glitch in 'Desktop Pages'. I forgot that I had multiple monitors running. That second monitor is being used by two computers simultaneously, switchable on the monitor input control... and is currently being used by the second computer.

Consequently, when I dragged icons and Fences, I dragged them into the second monitor and because the monitor was set to the second computer, I couldn't see the icons and Fences being dragged there.

Conclusion:

With multiple monitors running, when you drag an icon or fence off the screen, it will end up on the second monitor, not on a new Fences Desktop Page.
