Has Fences become abandonware?

Is there anything close to an ETA (as in will it be weeks, months or years)?

This question is very relevant right now, as I'm using a trial version while keeping an eye on the Steam sale. I can see that there's a wishlist post with very recent replies, but even that has been posted on 2018.

Even the last minor update seem to have happened a very long time ago with very big bugs, such as lack of support for precision touchpads, being around for even longer.

About the ETA, I don't even need it to be accurate at all. But it's been 2 years since the last update and it would be nice to know if there's 2 more ahead... Or if it's just several months or weeks... A very rough estimate like this would be more than enough, if you can.
