Groupy and NAS

Groupy doesn't work for me.
If I create a group in Excel or Word and save that group, it will no longer be shown if I want to open it again later.
Cause my files are on my NAS.
If I try it by temporarily putting files on a hard disk, it works normal.
But of course, that is not the intention of me
Here below the content of the two groups in Groupy.
When I change the targets in the path of the NAS by hand, its works normal.
I don't know if that can be solved. Otherwise I ask for refund.

Wrong: flies on NAS:

[GroupyEntry1]
OwnerProcess=C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\EXCEL.EXE
RunElevated=0
Target=C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\EXCEL.EXE
NoPatternMatching=0
MatchingClass=XLMAIN
[GroupyEntry2]
OwnerProcess=C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\EXCEL.EXE
RunElevated=0
Target=C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\EXCEL.EXE
NoPatternMatching=0
MatchingClass=XLMAIN
[Group]
GroupCount=2
GroupLeft=140
GroupTop=295
GroupRight=2074
GroupBottom=1392
GroupMax=0

Good:  Files on disk E:\

[GroupyEntry1]
OwnerProcess=C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\EXCEL.EXE
RunElevated=0
Target="E:\Downloads\Map4.xlsx"
NoPatternMatching=1
MatchingClass=XLMAIN
[GroupyEntry2]
OwnerProcess=C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\EXCEL.EXE
RunElevated=0
Target="E:\Downloads\2013.xls"
NoPatternMatching=1
MatchingClass=XLMAIN
[Group]
GroupCount=2
GroupLeft=194
GroupTop=256
GroupRight=2128
GroupBottom=1353
GroupMax=0

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

What version of Groupy?

E: is the mapped drive, correct?  Is E: available at all times or no - is it gated in any way?  Also, in Windows Explorer, if you open E:, then create the saved group, does it then work - is it then part of the target in the group file?

Groupy32.exe 1.3.1.0

Drives intern: C:\ D:\ and E:\ allways available .
Drives extern I:\  NAS1(\\192...........)(Z:)  and NAS2(\\192.........)(Y:) allways availeble.

When de doc's are on the E:\ drive ther is no problem.

When de doc's are on de NAS it doesn't work.

see above for content in C:\Users\Gebruiker\AppData\Roaming\Groupy  xxx.groupy

Good files on E:\ and wrong files on NAS.

Can you try the following please.

Open one of those documents in Excel or Word (from the NAS), Hold down the ctrl key and click the three dots on the groupy bar.  Select the debug menu and see what it says.

The top line of the menu will say "Live tab is an OFFICE window" and the line below should be the path to the file.  What is it showing?

Also are your files opening in protected mode as files opened in protected mode (I.e. no editing allowed) will not be detectable by Groupy as the office apps for security reasons will not provide the information required.

Strange but the three dots are not visible in Excel alone, but also visible in explorer. When I group Word and Excel then the three dots are visible.

The files are not opened in the protected mode.

Are you able to try the beta release we released last week which has some tweaks which might help.
