CursorFX "Unavailable" Cursor

Unavailable Cursor not working in Windows 10

I am creating a custom cursor set for Windows 10 and the "Unavailable" cursor I created does not display. Instead the "Standard Select" cursor I created is displayed with the red circle-backslash symbol below it. Is this a Windows 10 thing, or a bug in the software?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Not really sure what is the issue. Is it possible for you to upload the .cursorfx file of this cursor so we can have a look at it.

Thanks

Hello,

I test the cursor and it is working. My only problem is that I can't remember how to simulate a situation where the "unavailable" cursor to show up. I have been off Cursor design for too long. Any hint?

Never mind, found them, and I tested it, your cursor for unavailable is working fine for me.

Thank you,

Thanks for testing this for me.

What version of Windows 10 were you using for testing? I'm running version 2004 build 19041.208 which might be the issue. Microsoft has made a few changes in the Devices>Mouse settings, as well as, Accessibility>Mouse Pointer and Accessibility>Cursor settings. These changes may play some part in why the "Unavailable" cursors behave the way they do.

I tested all the cursor sets included with CursorFX, and they all exhibit the same "Unavailable" cursor symptom I described above. In all the cursor sets the "Standard Select" cursor with the red circle-backslash symbol below is displayed for the "Unavailable" cursor.

You are correct. The cursors display correctly on this website, so it must be the Windows 10 version I'm using. I guess I'll have to wait until Version 2004 becomes an official version and see if others have the same issue.

It's really not a big deal since that cursor doesn't get used all that often.

Thanks again for all your help!

Great, glad to help. But , may I know how you test it on your Windows 10 v2004?
