L/R Mouse buttons switched (still)

I use a left-handed setup, in which the right mouse button is the primary. This is so on all three of my machines. When I use Multiplicity, the primary button is being switched to left on the secondary machine.

There is a previous thread on this issue, dating from 2013. I posted it in the "Links" field above. No resolution is presented. The response from, apparently, MP Support is: "Disabling the option on the secondary would remove the double flip." There is no explanation of what this means. Disable what option? "Mouse switching" has its own popup window in Options, but there is nothing on it about whether to disable switching buttons. 

As much as I hate to think it, this instruction seems to be saying that, on the secondary computer, I should set the left button to primary so that Multiplicity's signal will switch it to the right. I'm not going to bother explaining why this is ludicrous.

Please tell me what is to be done about this problem?

While the workaround may be inconvenient, and not plausible for you long term, does it work to resolve the issue?

Of course not. The machines are set to left-handed use because I use all of them in person. They are for different purposes and are configured differently, with different accessories and paraphernalia around them. Multiplicity is for the purpose of doing things such as installations and updates that need to be done to all three, avoiding duplication of effort. Every time I need to use Multiplicity, I will have to make that Settings change to the mouse on both of the other computers, and every time I need to use them in person (after using MP) I will have to change the settings back. I might as well just get up and go to the computers to do the work in person.

Again, I am not asking if it is workable - just if the option works at a technical level.

Also, as a fellow southpaw, I get it.  While I have always used the mouse buttons themselves on righty (learned that way), I know full well how frustrating it can be to get the - even if subliminal - 'just use it the right way' response from any community.  This was particularly frustrating for me in gaming - for thumbstick controls - that lacked a 'southpaw' option.  It was well into my adult life before I bit the bullet and - agonizingly - forced myself to retrain my brain to use the default control set-up. Not a pleasant experience to say the least.

With that, the lead dev for MP (Neil) was the one that responded to that other thread - I will make note of your concerns and bring it to his attention.

To answer your question: yes, from a technical aspect, switching the secondary computer's mouse setting to "Left" works.

Any curtness in my posts is because this issue was known in 2013, and yet it is still present in the 2020 version, in software for which I paid money on the assumption that I was buying thoroughly tested and debugged professional quality product.

I'm a long-time customer of Stardock. I purchased Start8 and its upgrade to Start10, Modern Mix, Fences 2 and its upgrade to Fences 3, and Groupy as stand-alone products before I decided to get Object Desktop. I even bought Bins, an app that was associated with Stardock years back but is apparently no longer yours.

My reason for buying Object Desktop after owning about half of it already, was to get Multiplicity, Tiles and Spacemonger. The rest, I have no interest in. So imagine my frustration at finding this issue upon first use.
