Stardock Fences doesn't show icons and Fences until I right-click the desktop

I'm new to Fences, and running 3.0.9.11 which looks good once it's working, but my issue is that Windows now starts up with a blank desktop and my desktop icons and Fences only appear once I rightclick on the desktop at which point they take some seconds to completely load which is really slowing me down.

 

I really need Fences to start automatically with Windows.

 

I'm using Windows10 with Kaspersky security cloud free a/v.

 

How can I get that to happen please?

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

let's start to find a fix for you .

First thing is to shut down your A/V software 

Reboot and see if Fences loads differently .

So that can be ruled out as the problem.

AzDude, I uninstalled Kaspersky but it made no difference. I then checked startup and found that Fences had been disabled from startup (perhaps by me, or perhaps a 'tune-up' utility) so I re-enabled it and it works fine now. I've reinstalled Kaspersky that that wasn't the problem.
