Some questions from a new user of Touch Tasks

This program is very promising, especially for a user of a small screen 2-in-1 Tablet PC with only a 10.1 inch display. Trial and error has sorted several issues out, but I have a few questions remaining:.

1. screen sensitivity --- why am I often having to tap repeatedly with a stylus, or  click / hold for a longish time with a mouse, to get a Panel to show? I have set the zones to large, as presumably this helps. It is mainly a problem with zones 2 and 3. Perhaps this will improve with practice.

2. the Quick Navigation Panel just shows two words, ''Top'' and ''Bottom''. What does  this mean?

3. the app icons in the zone 4 Panel are now cut in half vertically, after having been fully formed earlier ---- a bug? 14 (changeable) icons are displayed. Is this number fixed and the same for all screen sizes? I would like to add a few more if possible, as there seems to be available space

4. why would I want Custom Hot Keys, given that using Hot Keys is itself an easy shortcut?

Practice, yes, and make sure you are touching far enough off of the visible space of the screen

2. the Quick Navigation Panel just shows two words, ''Top'' and ''Bottom''. What does  this mean?

Home / End
Or top / bottom of webpage

3. the app icons in the zone 4 Panel are now cut in half vertically, after having been fully formed earlier ---- a bug? 14

I cant seem to reproduce this:

DPI / Resolution change affect this?  Does a restart of WindowsExplorer resolve it?

4. why would I want Custom Hot Keys, given that using Hot Keys is itself an easy shortcut?

Not sure I understand your question but Custom Hotkeys will perform (all) those keyboard keys with one touch of that zone.

I am trying to Paste a screen snip of the 'sliced icons' (referred to earlier) but am not able to do it. Is there a reason for this? Neither Paste nor Ctrl V work.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

If you save any capture locally to your PC, you can use this to insert an image:

I cannot insert the 'Sliced icons' image. This reply window does not have the 'inserted image' option shown in your image above. It is different in several respects.

Also, I want to pay for  Touch Tasks but the payment link does not work, it only generates a 'page not available' notification.

You need to be a higher rank with Stardock than you are to use the Image insert feature Sean pointed out

Try using a image hosting site like https://imgur.com/? ... it free and will give a URL link to

post back here in this forum of your image .

And did you try here for Touch Task https://www.stardock.com/products/touchtasks/download

Clay,

Just upload any image to a cloud drive (GoogleDrive, OneDrive, DropBox), get a public / shared link, and paste it in; if the image does not auto show in the post, we will at least have a link.

Have you tested different resolution / DPI and does a restart of WinExp resolve it in any tests?
