Does WindowBlinds automatically change/delete skins?

Hi! So, I was installing new (well, new to me lol) WindowBlinds skins, when I was thinking about an older skin I installed. I tried doing a search for it, scrolling up and down my installed skins list, but the skin was nowhere to be found. Has anybody else ever had this issue? Am I missing something? I know for a fact I didn't delete the skin myself, I've never deleted any skin before, actually.

The skin in question is pretty old, too. So it's not like it was updated or anything, if WindowBlinds does automatically update skins.

I just don't know what's going on. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks!

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Not really sure on your problem. But from what I know, if are you installing new skins which is using the same name of the old ones, than it will replace the old ones. But if no, than it should not effect what ever old skin you have installed. All my skins is listed in C:\Users\Public Documents\Stardock\Windowblinds and I save all my ".wba" files in my backupdrive in-case I need to reinstall it in the future.

You could try: Open up the WB config window, Top right corner click on the gear and choose Rebuild skin list. Wait for it to get done and see if your skin is there.

Name of the skin would help too.

Thanks for telling me about the directory, I didn't know where to find that!

But, that also shows me that there's WAYYY more skins than just 1 that won't show up in my WindowBlinds configuration LOL

Like, all these skins are still installed, they just won't show up in WindowBlinds for whatever reason. Very weird.

I tried rebuilding it a couple times before I made the post, it wouldn't show me anything new :\

basj's reply also showed me that I have way more skins than just 1 that won't load in WindowBlinds, so I have no idea what the deal is. I figured it was just some fluke issue with 1 skin, but there's at least 5 that I just straight up forgot about that won't load.

If your looking where your WB skins are kept and you see Aero Clay, Aero Metals, Aero Wood and I think a couple others. They will only be usable or seen if you are using Win 7. They're great skins but for some stupid reason they don't let you use them in 10.

Can you list down those that won't get listed. And is it possible for you to re-download those 5 skins and try to apply it again. There is possibilities of compatibility skin for windows 10. Some skins that work on Windows 7 not listed in Windows 10 like those Aero Woods and Aero Metals etc etc.

Thank you,

I could go on and on, there's way more than I thought. At first I thought it was just XP skins, but other skins like Wintery Sunset were made for Windows 10, so I really have no idea anymore.

Okay, now that I went in to my Public Documents, and opened all the folders of the skins that were missing, they seem to all show up again when i rebuilt the list...? I don't know how bad I wanna call the problem "fixed" but they show up again now. I hope this isn't like.. an issue with my hardware or something.

Glad to hear that, really hope its not hardware, but just to be sure, please check it, specially your drives.
