Object desktop manager installed magically without consent

I had left my PC on overnight and I woke up to a new application that was magically installed without any consent. An object desktop manager. I had object desktop back in 2012 but not since then and according to the program/features control panel and files it was installed last night.

To me it looks like my old install of stardock central decided to silently install this object desktop manager.

Can anyone from stardock confirm this action/behavior?

I have the same problem. I purchased Fences for Windows 10.

I can't uninstall Object Desktop, it ends up reinstalling eventually.

This is odd. I was able to uninstall ODM with no issues, and it doesn't come back.  I hope you get it sorted.

Stardock Central was the predecessor to Object Desktop Manager, and Stardock Central has been deprecated and is being updated to Object Desktop Manager.

Thanks, that was my assumption but needed to confirm as I don't expect an update to install a totally new program.

As an aside, I run Stardock apps on a convertible laptop/tablet and not being able to resize ObjectDesktop Manager is a pain.

For a company that has been all about customization, not being able to resize (OR SKIN) an app rubs me the wrong way (and always has).

Zubaz, sounds like you may still be running a beta.  Please make sure Object Desktop is update to date and you should be able to resize it.  You can download the latest version from:  https://cdn.stardock.us/downloads/public/software/objectdesktop/ObjectDesktop_setup_sd.exe
