DeskScapes 10.02 Manage folders & installation BUGS

DeskScapes 10.02 BUGS

Hi

1- If we install the program elsewhere then the default path, Deskscapes config GUI appears for a fraction of a second then disappears when called with desktop r-click | "Configure DeskScapes"...

2- DS does NOT manage folders well : When we add folders in the list, the right pane remains empty even the folder being full of .dream files and .jpg and .avi.

3- The 'Animated' folders (Downloaded and video) are empty. Where are they supposed to point to ? Same question for the 'Stills' folders.

The only way to add and access the wallpapers are via the upper left 'Recent' link !

Best regards

BTW... why perform a "purge"... and not just simply perform an uninstallation then reinstall ?

Because some uninstallers do not quite get everything.

Did the purge, rebooted and reinstalled and... same issue :-(

I reinstalled with all default options and haven't changed any configurations besides adding folders with Manage Folders.

FYI : Deskscapes64.exe, DeskscapesConfig,exe (32) and DS10Srv.exe (32) are running.

I am running out of options for you to try, Stargate....

What is the full path to your added folder?

"C:\Users\Thorium\Documents\Stardock\Dreams"

"C:\Users\Thorium\Documents\Stardock\Fonds d'écran"

What if you remove the one with special characters in the folder name, the second one?  Then close and reopen the UI - does the other 'Dream' one, when clicked, show the dreams that are there?

If you are asking for the source, I am afraid that is not possible...

Not asking... I'll use a debugger like Aida or another. But if I knew in what language it was created, maybe (don't know) it could be decompiles in the proper source code instead of assembler.

It's been an eternity I haven't decompiled a program so... I'm crossing my fingers...

I do trust that the possibility that it's some setting - 3rd party app - on your PC is the cause, yes?
