Same as everyone else. can't activate

now looks as though 1 activation only?

This product no longer gives 5 activations.  In addition to this assault on our money, it also doesn't activate, or show up in product orders pages.  Not thrilled to discover that I am no longer getting 5 activations on 5 personal computers.  And this is just insult to injury since I can't even activate the one I just bought.  It was sent to the email address.  I typed it in.  However it is not activatable.

 

Additionally I will DIE before I will fill out another CAPTCHA from the RECAPTCHA SERVICE, (buses, bicycles street signs etc) which is used to identify IP ranges so that they can be BLOCKED by websites.  Which is what Stardock is requiring me to use just to look up my product keys, after paying about 39.99 usd for my ONE (1) activation of this software.  Which doesn't activate.  I will NOT deal with the RECAPTCHA discrimination and identification service any more.

 

OK I FOUND my keys, but they were not sent to my new account, but my old account, which I changed, so that I could purchase the licenses again freshly and get a new key, for a few dollars more than it would have been to resubscribe, so that I could get an additional 5 machines with the new activation.  Which turns out to only be 1 machine, which is a problem for me, as I'd expected 5 activations as before.

Now I have a total of 6 machines on the same account.  Or do I have more than just one key with the new product activation? I will have to see later on if it activates to another computer, but it stated clearly that it is now only for one computer, which I did not expect.  I found this info only when dealing with trying to find the product order, after purchasing the software. 

I didn't assign or purchase the key to/with any old Stardock account or address. I used the new Stardock account I am using to type this. Even though I paid with the same payment name.  So what happens if two people have the same name?  This isn't appropriate to send to the old account and assign the keys to the old account, based only on the name/credit info used in payment.  I had sent the key to my 2nd account's email address and even indicated it as a gift purchase.  Then I received the key at that email.  I doubt very much that I used the same method to pay in 2017 when I first bought the product. 

 

I truly intend to give this product as a gift to my new wife's children.  However I would like to protect my name and address from her old husband.  So how do you go around sending my gift automatically to an old account, which will reveal my name and not keep me anonymous?  WTF is ACTUALLY going on here?  Is this all some kind of RUSE?  Is my MONEY being kept behind another internet border by some force of software piraters?  I need explanations and I need them fast, with only 3 weeks till Christmas.

I also just now noticed that ShadowFX is not in my Object Desktop, nor is Launch.  I am trying to configure Shadow FX but I can't find it.  The Object Desktop window only shows 10 programs.

Now I tried, Options-> unhide software that is incompatible with this system, and it still didn't show up.  Then I came to the Shadow FX option here and the "Try it" download, which downloaded me a version from CNET.  I don't want to install a CNET program, when I should be installing directly and receiving it thru Object Desktop.

Shows in all the pictures of Object Desktop, and is listed as part of Object Desktop 2018.  So what gives?

Community assistant?  This is shown in videos and also in the pictures here (which I have screenshotted for the purpose of illegal advertise bait/switch tactics proving).  I need a manager at this point I am talking about to MY address, not the other address used for the accounts.  I paid, with my address, and for purposes of accounting for the total of product keys, and setting up borders between the active products, I need to see that they are kept separate accounts.  For the intermediate party (Possible fraudsters selling the product beyond borders via an illegal internet interface posing as Stardock) who is checking credit info to dump this activation in the same account based on credit information is unacceptable and inappropriate.

 

As a native of America, I have always believed in supporting the American company Stardock, but these changes don't wanna keep me around.

 

I will add that in addition to the problems with the Captcha/Recapcha fraudulent "service" there is a problem with signing in to get a service ticket, as it takes me to a non secure website that I will not provide with my account credentials.

This topic remains belongs in this thread. 

The other thread is important and necessary though it could possibly also use a DUPLICATE in the software section of the forum, not LESS, because others may be facing the question, and it stands to reason they would be facing it during activation.

 

In response to the below comment, from another person who is obviously throwing up a offensive.  (how dare he say "Your Problem" like that).  Additionally I don't like the way you put "gift" in quotations.  You basically throwing up offensive left and right ain't you.

First off, anyone making a purchase has a right to do so from a completely separate account.  I will make accounts all day long and that's none of anyone's business.  I am aware of a dislike for this by those who would govern the internet for profit.  I won't hesitate to make a new account every time.  Especially when purchasing a new set of software licenses that I don't want to just subscribe over and cancel the old licenses.

2nd nobody wants the associations of its names as you did when you said  ************** / KARMA BEYONCE" and you know it as far as I know you're a police and not a dj, that's what you seem like to me. 

3rd it don't phase me

4th I paid the money and there's no reason I should be blocked from posting

5th I will not be filing any support ticket, as it takes me to an unsecured link.  ONLY A STUPID PERSON FILLS IN HIS or HER info in an UNSECURED LINK.

Karma_Beyonce / Kruk_Weekend ... I expect that ALL of your problems are caused by the multiple accounts. [I know I'm confused]....;)

Please wait for sales support which is likely a bit delayed due to the Thanksgiving Weekend.

When the guys are back I'm sure your Activation/purchase issues can be sorted to your satisfaction.

There's probably even a way to set that 'gift' to be anonymous [perhaps with an offline activation]...;)

Oh heck....I'm hoping you're not "Karma_Beyonce / Kruk_Weekend" as well.  Too many accounts means you will always strike trouble.  It is why we try to restrict people to one user account only, and simply remove duplicates.

If this is you, and the newer account/s have not been able to post then that is our anti-spam/anti-spammer feature in action.  New registered user accounts have a frequency restriction in place to counter spammers.

At this stage, please wait for Customer Support/sales to sort things for you...;)

I have here this screenshot of the above comment which is NOW EDITED (because that account can no longer post) from my new account Kruk Weekend /Karma_Beyonce which I created to

separate the keys in my accounts better and to be allowed to purchase a NEW Object Desktop software rather than only allowed to Resubscribe albeit for 2/3 the money.  HEAR ME?  I PAID 150 percent for the new activation of the software, and started the purchase from the new account.  So you can just stop telling me not to make new accounts and posts now.  Literally WHY should I be blocked from making new posts.  It's written quite clearly in the orders from PAYPAL, that the email associated with KARMA_BEYONCE account is the account to whom the item be given as a gift.  and there is nothing wrong with that.  And It did indeed send an email with a product activation upon completion of the transaction.  The fact that I'm therefore not allowed to use the Karma_Beyonce account to make this post is therefore criminal.

Five is still policy (for consumer, non corp, SKUs) with Multiplicity being the lone exception.

Stardock has been serving clients for over 25 years...  Such practices would not have had us survive that long were they employed.

They were removed October 1st.  Any OD purchases made before that should still have them on their account page:

Karma_Beyonce / Kruk_Weekend / Fenced_in_and_loving_it ...There is a very good reason why Users are restricted to one account only - purchases can be and often are lost through being associated with the wrong account.

Your issues are purely of your own doing, however Support is attempting to locate what purchases are where [and to whom] so were naturally required to reference one of your email addresses that has no record of purchases.

Standard policy is to partially blank the email so only YOU can tell which one is being listed. 

Stardock takes privacy matters seriously - Admins/Moderators are frequently deleting private details posted by Users inadvertently or in error.

Support is requiring you to open a ticket to take the entire process private and secure....;)

While this thread posts some interesting and important issues that we are all dealing with such as the use of DNS to rob users of their online voice by ISPs and governments, it is needlessly showing one of my email addresses to the world which I have repeatedly asked you to remove.

Additionally I would appreciate it if you stop using the original name of that other account, and only use the name I updated it to.  The original name was updated and if you look you will see only this account and the other.  No need to involve this account.  Just delete my posts here.
