Two bugs in Groupy

from Stardock Forums

Hello everyone,

One customer encountered two Groupy bugs and hope to get verified and fixed.

Both of these bugs occur when using the latest version of Microsoft Office 365 Word.



First, when merging multiple docx documents, the document window Probably be minimized automatically, and without any operations then wait for a few seconds before it is automatically maximized.

 

Secondly, when I open the docx document, there will be a blinking transparent box in the center of the window.

As a side note, This customer has tried creating new users, and then reinstalled the latest version of Groupy, Office 365, and graphics drivers but as you can see it doesn't work.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more.

1) Windows version. Please use Winver.exe for full version numbers

2) Groupy versions installed.

That Groupy version doesn't make any sense to me.

Are you simply getting the version off the install exe or something?  If so that's the version of the installer software used not Groupy.

The Groupy version is shown on the about page in Groupy.

Does it happen with both tab modes ('Visuals' in the config): 'Combine if possible' and 'Always place above'?

While you may have un / re-installed from within Windows, have you tried the purge:

This customer used the uninstall script and reinstalled, but the above situation still happens occasionally.

Since this customer is a Office power user, the average word file he edits is about 20MB ~ 30MB, and then open 4 ~ 5 such files at the same time. Does the size of the word files affect the performance of Groupy and cause the above problems?

Hello,

Please try solution on hardware graphics acceleration on MS Word

Its on File-> Options-> advance -> Display ->and tick the disable hardware graphics Acceleration.Please refer to below

Its hard to say but I would not think so, not from the video shown, where they have all the documents open already and are just working with them.

While not directly addressed, Groupy 1.3 was released today.. I would be interested if he upgraded if he sees the same issue.
