Using SpaceMonger offline from a pendrive

How would I activate the product so that I can use it from a pendrive?

God day

I bought SpaceMonger a few days ago for the purpose of being able to use it as a diagnostics tool one a pendrive when helping relatives or friends that come to me for help with their PCs. Descriptions and reviews I found online lead me to believe this was possible, but so far everything I've tried indicates that any machine I plug the pendrive into has to re-contact stardocks servers for activation. Is there any way to activate the software in such a way that I can use it on a device without any form for internet connection, which often is the case in these situations.

To my understanding the only form of offline activation I was able to find requires a file to be created, then uploaded to stardock servers from a seperate online machine, then a confirmation put in to the offline machine. Have I missunderstood completely? If the case is that I must be connected to be able to use the software on a new machine, it defeats the entire purpose for me purchasing it. Is there any way around this that I've missed?

I'm talking outside of my area of knowledge when saying this:

- Is it possible to make the pendrive the licensed client making any machine it's connected to treated as an external drive?

Activation is per machine, so plugging the pen drive into another computer would not work without reactivation.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

End of quote

SpaceMonger requires activation on any PC it's installed on.  If you have Internet access on said PC, that is the primary way.  If not, the offline activation method can be used.

There is no portable, unactivated, version in other words.

For an off-line product you may want to look at https://blog.windirstat.net/
It is not as feature-rich as SpaceMonger but it can run portable and show local drive info.
