Running version 10.02
Problem has existed for quite some time, I think it started with v10, not sure.
Anyway, I have the Pause on battery power option ticked, but Deskscapes continues to run.
Thoughts about how to fix?

Sorry to hear you are having issues.
Do you mean when you have a screen maximized ,
deskscapes is still running in the background ?
If so change your settings to this , see image bellow

I have mine set at "Pause when a window is full screen"
