Choosing Images

Hi Completely new to DeskScapes. What I want? My images to randomly deskplay on my desktop. I have created a shortcut, called PHOTOS in My Picture folder, to my images which are stored on my NAS drive.

Deskscapes does not see this folder in My Pictures folder. Why? Would I be better of creating a dynamic link folder instead of a shortcut?

If I can get Deskscapes to see this folder, is there a way to tell it to look at all the photos, or do I have to pick and choose each and every photo? If I have to choose each one this is completely stupid.

Any help would be greatly appreciated?

At the bottom left of the DeskScapes window, while you're on the "Local" tab, there is a button "Manage folders".  Click on that, a small window will pop up, click on the "Add" button, select the folder that your images are in and add it.

That part I have done. It is now getting Deskscape to use all the picture that are listed. Do I have to click everyone, or is there a Select All option?

Hi,

Found my solutions. To choose all images, left click first, then scroll to bottom, shift left click last one, then right click, add to random.

To have NAS photos show up, folder needs to be a Symbolic link folder. Then wait for Deskscape to suck in all the info before continung to anything else.

Glad you got it sorted.  I thought you just hadn't made your way down to the "Manage Folders" button yet.  I guess the specifics of the shortcut are beyond me
