Disbanding Transport kills any troops currently on the ship

If I disband a troop transport, any troops on the ship are killed.  they should be recycled into the global pool of available troops, no?  there doesn't seem to be any way of disembarking the troops from a transport and returning them to the global pool.

I noticed the same thing - and I don“t like it, either. It makes no sense from a logical and realistic point of view. It is as flawed as not getting back administrators after disbanding a star base, I think.

There may be a reason for "gameplay" purposes (making the decision of putting troops on a transport more difficult and relevant), b ut - just like the way administrators are never going back to the pool - is at least very confusing to new users (like me!).

Cheers, Jan

Another bug with transports: Upgrading a transport includes a legion as part of the cost, which doesn't make sense. The legion is added to the transport after the upgrade and can result in a transport carrying a greater number of legions than its capacity. (That's how it appeared to work in a previous session anyway - a transport which seemed to have a maximum capacity of five legions had six legions onboard after upgrading for better engines).
