Just can't get connected

Hello!

I installed this on my laptop and my desktop. My laptop is the primary (its on WiFi) and the desktop (cabled) is the secondary and they are both Windows 10 machines. Both are on the same subnet of 192.168.1.* (my home WiFi). Both computers network settings are for private networks. I have no issues RDP, VNC or Google Remotedesktop connections.

When setting it up the scan never finds that desktop computer. I have to put the PC name in along with the security code. If I click the gear with the green checkmark it comes back and tells me about the network on the secondary has to be private, along with it being able to pass through the firewall. Doing so allows me to move the cursor to the right part of the screen and the screen dims but I get a popup that the secondary took to long to respond and nothing happens.

My router is a NetGear AC1750 so I have plenty of in house bandwidth. \

Kind of at a loss here cause this just doesn't make sense!

If you need anything from me to troubleshoot just ask!

Pardon me if  I'm a bit ignorant here.  But is this application meant to run where you have two systems right next to each other? This isn't meant to be like VNC or RDP, correct?

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

My laptop is the primary (its on WiFi) and the desktop (cabled)
End of quote

Is it at all possible to test with both PCs connected via Ethernet (making sure the wireless on the one PC is 'disabled')?
