Can not get Multiplicity to work

Can not get Multiplicity to work

I have Multiplicity installed on my main PC.  I uninstalled it from my old laptop and now have it installed on my new laptop.  It appears to be set up, but whenI move my mouse to the new laptop, the mouse does not go to that screen.  Please see the screenshot below.

I notice that it say Click here to visit our website for upgrade options.  I've already paid for the upgrade.

Please let me know what I can do to get this to work.

Should the firewall still be off on both PCs while doing the clean boot?

Id like it to be off for all tests.  A firewall on a private network is kindof redundant anyway as your router protects you from the Internet.

Wow, that was a lot.  Unfortunately, after doing all of that, Multiplicity Seamless still does not allow me to move my mouse from my Primary PC to my Secondary.

Yes, and why it is usually the last resort option.

The last one I can suggest is a purge and reinstall on each:

I did the purge on the primary PC.  It took my internet down for a couple of hours across my entire network.  It eventually came back up, thank goodness.  I'm afraid to do the purge on the secondary because I can not afford to be without internet.

There is just no way the purge brought your Internet down - it has been run countless time without such an effect.  I can break down, in the code, what the purge does if that will help assure you.

There's no way it could have been anything else but the purge.  The only time I've had trouble with my internet was when there was a power outage.  And this happened immediately after running the purge and then rebooting the PC.   Please break down what the purge does.

You can open the batch file with notepad to follow along.

Opening block to get admin access:

Block to uninstall MP services if they exist:

Block to stop any MP running tasks:

To be honest, I am not certain why this next thing is here (I did not write this batch) but it is harmless (it's a ping).

ping 1.1.1.1 -n 1 -w 5000 >null
End of quote

You could open a command prompt and paste it in and it should just return the stats for the ping:

Block to remove the install directories for MP:

Block (long) to clean the registry of MP entries:

Block to remove MP firewall rules:

That's all it does.

When I reinstall Multiplicity, do I use the For Trails or For Stardock direct purchases?  I did it as a trial first.  I then ended up purchasing it.
