Evidently it's a program pulling the names off the site because the referred to my wall as "Journeyman" but also know my first name. Anyone else getting this junk?

I would have to say that the email you posted above is not spam. It has been writen specifically with you in mind. It appears that one of the admins from that site like your work. You have an option to hide your email address if you so wish, that may prevent ppl from send unwanted mail on the other hand you may have the info in your readme files.

the only objection I would have is that it was not personnalized by the sender and signing funender instead.

I would concur but.. since I have no wallpaper called "Journeyman" I can only assume the bot grabbed my WC title and through it in there. Also, the letter seems pretty geared towards pushing the site. We'll see if anyone else here has had the same problem.

actually it is a message board with multiple formats. Music, wallpapers everything basically. one could still peruse the site and get that info pretty easily. The Bot idea would require some pretty smart scripting I would think but certainly not impossible.

Mwah. It has happened before. Occasionally I get messages about how they saw my skins and if I could visit site X and so on. Yet I have no skins up anywhere. Hmm...

After checking out the site, it's actually not a bad site. Doesn't seem to be a lot of commercialism there so perhaps he collected a few names from here just to get some more members. There is a Dark Mist there but not sure if it's "our" Dark Mist.
