Bandwidth and/or Data usage

So i use Multiplicity when I'm out at work,  everything had been fine over this last week. We just recently today had our internet speed slow right down, the bandwidth and data is monitored, so when it hits a certain threshold it starts to bottleneck the speeds. Co-worker is blaming my multiplicity setup on it, so it made me curious. How much bandwidth and or data (if any) does this software use up in a day?

Thanks for any and all replies to this,

Cheers.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

The bandwidth used by MP, especially in Seamless mode, is negligible.

I have also experienced extremely high bandwidth usage (nearly 2 GB in a couple of days, using seemless mode) by a program called Multisrv.exe. I Googled this and it is attributed to Multiplicity - is it really a genuine part of the Multiplicity or could it be a virus/malware? If not, why is it using so much bandwidth?

Yes, it is a MP file.

If you are copying files between the PCs, that could be one reason.  And to be clear, it is not using Internet bandwidth, just the local LAN.

If you are using Audio Sharing in Multiplicity that could also use Bandwidth to transfer the audio to your other machine.

Hi Sean

Thanks for your prompt response - shows great commitment to your product and is much appreciated!

My first instinct was that the data traffic must be on the local LAN but the Googled article spooked me. I am using Multiplicity with Pilot2ATC-X-P 11 - it works very well and yes, I am using Audio Sharing as well.
